MEET ANNETTE

Author Annette O'Hare in front of a Texas Landmark

Growing up in an unincorporated area of Houston, Texas in the 1970s, Annette loved the stories she heard about ghosts haunting the Spaghetti Warehouse, a popular downtown restaurant, and the mysterious “blue light” cemetery as it was called. But it was “Devil’s Island,” the magical woods across the street from her childhood home where she created fantastic scenarios to act out with her brothers and the neighborhood kids. Sure, Devil’s Island might have seemed like a vacant, overgrown, wooded lot to the adults, but the inhabitants knew it was a place where worlds were conquered and dragons were slain.

Annette is still making up stories as an award-winning author of inspirational historical romance, and pre-teen mysteries. It is her desire to reveal God’s love to her readers while hopefully providing a laugh or two.

Annette and husband Dan live in Southeast Texas and enjoy RV travel, fishing on the Texas Gulf Coast and spending time with family and their lovable rescue dogs.

"If you look at the world, you’ll be distressed. If you look within, you’ll be depressed. If you look at God you’ll be at rest.”

~ Corrie Ten Boom

Annette's Statement of Faith

I believe the Bible is the infallible, inerrant Word of God.

I believe there is one God existing in three persons, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on a cross for the sins of humankind, was buried and rose from the grave and will return again someday for His people.

I believe salvation comes with the repentance of sins and God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

I believe every soul lives forever. Those with salvation through Jesus Christ will spend eternity in heaven and those who don't will die in sin and spend eternity in hell.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,

that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

John 3:16
